Stewart Investors Launches European (ex UK) Sustainability Strategy
Stewart Investors, an active, long-only equity specialist and global leader in sustainable investing, has launched the European (ex UK) Sustainability Strategy for professional clients in the UK.1
The strategy aims to achieve attractive long-term capital growth and contribute to a more sustainable future by investing in European companies, excluding the UK, from across the full market capitalisation spectrum.
Joint managers Lorna Logan and Rob Harley select companies with strong and competitive franchises, exceptional people and distinctive cultures, and resilient financials.
These companies are individually and collectively solving difficult problems, meeting vital needs, and helping society do more with less.
The strategy is expected to hold between 30 and 40 investments at any one time, with a high conviction approach, meaning that the top 10 positions are expected to make up 30-40% of total portfolio assets.
This follows the successful launch of the Stewart Investors European Sustainability Strategy in June 2021, which has the ability to invest in UK equities alongside those from the rest of Europe.
Stewart Investors is a pioneer in sustainable investing, having launched its first sustainability fund in 2005. The team aim to invest in, and proactively engage with, companies that that are helping make the world healthier, cleaner and more productive, while always avoiding companies that participate in harmful and controversial practices.
